International Conference “Hindi in the modern World“ | .

An international conference on the topic of ‘Hindi in the modern world’ was organised jointly by the institute of Asian and African studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Hindustani Samaj, Moscow on 26th & 27th June, 2023. The conference was online and held on Zoom. Inaugural speeches were given by the Ambassador of India in Russia, Mr Pavan Kapoor, and Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr. Andrey Fesyun. Eminent Hindi Poet Naresh Saxena was the chief speaker. Topics such as modern Hindi poetry, literature, different methods and materials used to teach Hindi to foreign students and problems faced in doing so, the importance of and different approaches to translation were discussed from various angles. Speakers from many countries such as India, Russia, UK, Canada, Singapore, Japan put across their views on the above topics.
