Instead of teaching kids to memorize lists of words, teach them the sounds the letters (and combinations of letters) make and they can read tons of words! And when a word IS tricky, break it down with them so that they aren’t in the habit of guessing. I have tons more support for parents and caregivers in my online reading courses!
