Lost Souls (1980) Hong Kong’s Most Disturbing Film
Lost Souls 打蛇 (Dir. Mou Tun-Fei 牟敦芾, 1980) is often regarded at one of Hong Kong’s most disturbing films. This video attempts to explore the film’s sociopolitical background and argue that although Lost Souls is obviously problematic, it addresses a part of Hong Kong’s history that requires far more attention.
