Login to your WordPress Dashboard:
Begin by logging into your WordPress siteâs backend.
Navigate to Revolution Slider:
Once logged in, look for the âSlider Revolutionâ or âRevolution Sliderâ link in your WordPress dashboard menu, usually on the left-hand side.
Select the Slider:
Choose the slider you wish to edit. If you havenât created one yet, do so by clicking the âNew Sliderâ option.
Add or Select a Slide:
Once inside the slider, you can either add a new slide or select an existing one where you want the button or CTA to appear.
Add Layer:
On the slide editing screen, youâll notice a button named âAdd Layerâ.
Click on the âAdd Layerâ button and select âText/HTMLâ or you might directly see an option for âButtonâ.
Customize the Button:
Once youâve added the button layer, a default button will appear on the slide preview.
You can now customize its appearance, text, and other attributes using the options that appear in the sidebar or below the slide preview.
You can drag and position the button wherever you want on the slide.
For the button link, you will see an option to add a âLinkâ or âActionâ. You can put the URL or link there to decide where users will be redirected when they click the button.
Add Actions (if needed):
Apart from just redirecting users to a link, you can assign various actions to a button, like triggering another slide, playing a video, etc.
To do this, look for an âActionsâ tab or option after selecting your button layer. Here, you can choose from various available actions and assign them to your button.
Save Changes:
Always remember to save your changes after making any modifications.
Preview:
Before publishing or updating your slider, you can preview it to ensure the button appears and functions as desired.
Publish/Update:
Once satisfied, make sure to either publish your slider (if itâs a new one) or update it (if itâs an existing one).
Note: The Revolution Slider plugin often receives updates that can slightly change the interface or the way you add/edit elements. If the steps above donât match exactly, they should still give you a general direction. Always refer to the pluginâs official documentation or support forums for version-specific instructions.
