DAS clay has tiny paper fibres in it, creating an internal bond which makes for a strong sculpture. LA DOLL- Probably the air dry clay on the market, used by many doll makers as it’s especially good for fine details. The only downside I’ve found is that it is difficult to find in some parts of the world, including Europe. JOVI - Soft and smooth. Generally easy to work with, though harder to achieve a high level of details. Very Cheap. FIMO AIR LIGHT - Extremely lightweight and soft. This particular type of Air Dry Clay can be dried in the MICROWAVE. ------------------------------------------- More videos using air dry clay: Microwaving Air Dry Clay (Fimo Air Light) - Comparison between Air Dry and Polymer Clay - Painting Air Dry Clay - ------------------------------------------- INSTAGRAM: @sofiabue WEBSITE: BUSINESS INQUIRIES: sofia@ ------------------------------------------- Suggested materials for starting out: DAS Air Dry Clay (or choose from suggestions above) - Baking Paper Tinfoil Aluminium Armature Wire: Gauge 10 / diameter - Gauge 6 / diameter - Sculpting tools: Stainless Steel Sculpting Tools - Loop Tools - Silicone tip / dotting tools - Turntable / Sculpting Wheel (very handy, though not essential) - Sandpaper Dremel Tool Kit (very handy, though not essential) - Shellac Sealer - Acrylic Paints (any brand will work, but GOLDEN is my favourite): GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylics, set of 6 colours (thicker / for brush painting) - The above product links are affiliated - that means if you purchase anything via one of these links, Amazon will pay me a small commission.
