The Revolution is Dead - Long Live the Revolution! / Революция мертва, да здравствует революция!

The film was created in collaboration with a conceptual art collective from St. Petersburg previously known by the name of Rodina (Homeland). Having buried their Rodina project the collective was resurrected as an experimental political alliance named “The Party of the Dead“. The film was largely based on the artists’ perhaps most well known work called “Alas-parade“, a photo series of solo pickets expressing the apathy, melancholy and impotence in the face of such overwhelming phenomena as war, money, corporations, wage labour and government.
