Chopin - Funeral March - Arr for Organ -Sonata, Op. 35.

From his Sonata, Op. 35. Chopin composed his famous funeral march a few years before writing his second sonata. He wrote the other three movements so it would fit around the march thematically and harmonically. Chopin’s own funeral was held at the Church of the Madeleine in Paris, France. The pieces that were played at the funeral were his Preludes Nos. 4 and 6, parts of Mozart’s Requiem, and his very own Funeral March. The main reason I posted this video was because I realized that there weren’t any good quality videos of this piece on an organ. Though there were great preformances, the sound of the organ isn’t easy to capture on a video camera.
