India: Russian aid arrives in New Delhi as COVID-19 cases soar

Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) sent two Il-76 cargo planes loaded with coronavirus treatment drugs, ventilation equipment, oxygen supplies, and other medical equipment. Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the COVID-19 aid on Wednesday in a phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India has seen a surge in coronavirus cases, with hospitals full and oxygen supplies hugely lacking.
