Israel’s envoy to the UN walked out of the security council to protest against the body holding a session critical of Israel on Memorial Day. The periodic security council session on ’The Palestinian Question’ was held at UN headquarters in New York and was led by Russia. Israel was infuriated as their requests to reschedule the debate were declined. Jerusalem’s ’enraged’ envoy even read the names of Israelis killed in the past year to protest and then staged a walkout, refusing to be part of the session.
