Testing the Black Fencer “Tournament Feder“ synthetic

A while back you may recall Black Fencer launching a new product in their synthetic line-up (link below). As we’re big fans of their work it was no surprise we were bound to get one just to see how it compared. Now we only have the first gen synthetic feders (the white ones with the cross-guard going through the blade material) so it may be a bit biased as we’re unsure how they would be with the new material and edge shaped section. We chose this one with an edged section as we prefer to have slightly stiffer blades which is something this section is prone to. Overall the experience is very good both in terms of handling and overall looks, albeit a bit lighter, it wobbles far less than it’s standard counterpart and also less bouncy, something we can attribute to the new material. The point is also safer as it widens a little, and the aesthetic change is a welcome one. Feel free to ask for any specifics in the comments and we’ll be happy to answer back, and this way we can also address them on video if needed. We’ll be making a full video review of this as soon as we can film it, so stay tuned for that. We’ll also be making a review of their steel feder so keep an eye out for that one as well!
