Stream ‘People thought my windows were stars’ EP at:
songs for m, i-iv is presented as part of a collaboration between the band and experimental filmmaker Peter Treherne. About the film, called ’Alien Country’, Peter writes:
“‘songs for m, i-iv’ by deathcrash, a car windscreen and a 2005 NASA space launch frame the landscape of Witherenden Valley, East Sussex - the place where I have lived for the better part of my life. Despite my familiarity with the place, or perhaps because of it, I’ve rarely looked at the country beyond my windows. When I do it is through the lens of my camera, which might as well be a telescope pointed at the moon or some other alien country. Music by deathcrash becomes the engine and vehicle for a flight of fancy, a trip to an alien country, a luminous and luna rendering of places familiar and unseen.”
Peter Treherne is an experimental filmmaker working in the South East of England. He is also director of Slow Film Festival an annual moving image art festival exploring duration and landscape in experimental film.
