Ingredients
- 1 kg minced beef, 80/20 lean to fat. I like to use beef rib meat but any beef will work, just make sure it has the 80/20 ratio (if it doesn’t have enough fat, you can add more to it)
- 70g bread crumbs
- 200ml milk
- 50g grated parmesan
- 1.5 tsp salt
- fresh ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp finely cut parsley
Sauce
- 700g jar passata sauce
- 6 cloves garlic crushed
- small bunch basil
- salt to taste
- spaghetti and parmesan to serve
Method
1. Place the bread crumbs, milk, salt and pepper into the mixer and turn on low until all the bread crumbs have soaked up the milk.
2. Next, add the mince and mix for 2-3 minutes using the paddle attachment. Then add the grated cheese and mix again until it’s evenly dispersed.
3. Line an oven tray with paper and drizzle with olive oil. Roll the meatballs to the size you desire, place them on the tray and drizzle with more olive oil.
4. Place into a 200c oven for 15 minutes.
