Ev Hales Painting Roses Demonstration Stage 2

Stage 2 demonstrates how Ev Hales creates interest in a mass of leaves by using negative painting. A sense of space is achieved by overlapping and tricks to imply layers discussed. The color of the flowers is changed. A pattern of dark is worked through the image as a part of this process and helps to balance the composition.
