Tengen Uzui’s Nichirin Blades : [Demon Slayer] Season 2

The making of Tengen Uzui’s Nichirin Blades from season 2 of the Demon Slayer Anime. Much like the making of Tanjiro’s Katana, this video is shot more like a documentary of the San Mai Japanese bladesmithing kitchen knife only much much longer. Tengen duel wields a pair of large Nichirin blades that are connected by a chain. We forge the blade from wrought iron from the 1800’s with a high carbon edge insert using the hot dog in the bun technique. We forge the blade and grind and polish it. The quench for the heat treat is in water. We made the Tsuba in tachi style with layered sepa and a raised copper border. We forge some bronze for the rest of the fittings. I think this Wide katana or huge kitchen knife came out very well and represents what the sword from the Demon Slayer Anime would be like in the real life if it were to exist.
