Metropolitan police assault pro Palestine campaigner

“Why are you punching him?” London’s Metropolitan Police officers were filmed physically assaulting a pro-Palestine activist carrying a Palestinian flag in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets on Friday. The officers used excessive force that bystanders said was uncalled for. The arrest of the man named Wasseem Yusuf sparked a large protest outside the Tower Hamlets police station where he was held late into the night amid calls for the suspension of the police officers that attacked him and an investigation into the incident. Yusuf was later released without charge.
