Atletico capitalised on the first opportunity in person of striker Omar Janneh to take an early lead (11’). Our lads then endeavoured to control the game, but were to concede a second goal shortly afterwards, which was similar to the first: after winning the ball from their own free-kick, the Madridistas increased the score to 2-0 for the hosts after a low cross from Romeo Hueso Moya (19’). After the break, coach Sebastian Heidinger’s team came back with renewed vigour and had better chances to score. However, the home team scored again. After a foul, Rayane Belid scored from the penalty spot (65’) to make it 3-0 in favour of the hosts. In the final phase, Atletico broke through again down the right flank and found Sergio Esteban, who slotted home to make the final score 4-0.
