Battle of Sanada Maru (4-5 December 1614)

During the Siege of Osaka,the shogunate forces besieged the Sanada Maru, a fort defended by the samurai commander Sanada Yukimura, Toyotomi’s ally. The attackers were repeatedly repelled and Sanada’s troops launched into several counterattacks against enemy lines, breaking them for three times. #war #history #japan
