You better think again You need to open your eyes, open your heart before it’s too late Come step into our world and realize it’s their forsaken fate 1.5 million of them getting married every year World’s largest number of child brides been born right here They have been taught to comply and have been forced to abide They don’t even have a choice It’s a price they pay Suffer, suffer, we’re the ones who let them suffer 10 million kids till date they labour Everyday our kids they suffer Me and you, we don’t even bother They’ll fade away Don’t break their spirits Don’t crush their souls We once were sons and loving daughters Don’t look away Let’s act together Or they’ll fade away They’ve fallen prey I’ve faced this monster Every night he would try to crawl into my bed Sometimes I’d turned to mommy And wished that Dad been dead You need to hear me out I have much more to tell I never thought, I’d get raped Isolated, starved to death Monster Every night he would try to crawl into my bed Dad Sometimes I’d turned to mommy And wished that Dad been dead Monster in my bed Imposter inside my head You think you’ve heard enough? Let me tell you something else instead Over a hundred children are abused everyday Only 4 percent, CSA cases are convicted today These cases are never heard Everyday our kids they suffer Me and you, we don’t even bother They’ll fade away Don’t break their spirits Don’t crush their souls We once were sons and loving daughters Don’t look away Let’s act together Or they’ll fade away They’ve fallen prey 10 million kids they work they suffer They belong in schools yet no one bothers They’ve fallen prey Everyday our kids they suffer Me and you, we don’t even bother They’ll fade away Don’t break their spirits Don’t crush their souls We once were sons and loving daughters Don’t look away Let’s act together Or they’ll fade away They’ll fade away They’ve fallen prey ___________________________________________________ Script by Dymbur Video Edited by Cornelius Kharsyntiew at Legato Studio Productions Directed & Shot by The Hills People Video Produced by Andreas Nathaniel War Recorded, Mixed & Mastered by Cornelius Kharsyntiew at Legato Recording Studio & Productions ___________________________________________________ CAST Elizer Bareh Daphishisha Khyriem (Dj Daffy) Myiesha Lyngdoh Onamesha Sten Rita Nongkhlaw CREW The Hills People DOP: LP: Erick Kynjing Camera Asst: Abun Marwein Lights & Grips Unit: Art: _________________________________________________ A BIG THANK YOU TO: Sammy Myrthong Rumi Dey Henali Hajong Lelangki Crew _________________________________________________ Indian Folk Metal | Khasi Thraat Folk Metal Band based in Shillong, India.
