US First Lady Michelle Obama and her two daughters met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the first day

Accompanied by his wife Peng Liyuan, Xi had a group photo with Obama, her mother Marian Shields Robinson and two daughters Sasha and Malia. In the meeting, Xi recalled his meeting with President Obama at Sunnylands estate in California last June and asked Michelle Obama to come back to China with her husband in November when Beijing hosts this year’s APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) leaders’ summit. Michelle Obama arrived in Beijing on Thursday. She visited a high school in Beijing and toured the Forbidden City earlier on Friday with Chinese First Lady Peng Liyuan.
