Gas Masks Demonstrated AKA French Gas Mask (1914-1918)

France. World War One; technology; chemical warfare; poison gas. French gas masks demonstrated. Opens with CU French soldier wearing gas mask; with beret on top; and bag hanging round his neck--sorta looks like bandages covering his face; with safety goggles attached--he looks like horror movie villain. Next; a man wearing a gas mask; with tank on his back; is pulling a wire from the tank like he’s pumping it; while with other hand he holds a long thin spray thing; like an exterminator; or pesticide sprayer since he’s outdoors .. this man also wears a Red Cross patch on his arm; which makes it really strange but I imagine he’s just demonstrating the mask. Nice view; looking down on pine trees. Next CU & pan down row of men in gas masks standing in front of trees: guy in mask; helmet; with tube from tank in front to his mouth; another guy breathing in oxygen; 3rd is holding a big tube shaped oxygen tank up to his mouth; then a guy in a gas mask is gesturing; as if he’s talking to someone.
