Crested Eagle - Morphnus guianensis - Darien, Panama

My photo/video album at: I went to climb up Pirre in the Panama Darien with Isaac Pizarro as local guide and joined by my Colombian birding mates Rodrigo Gaviria and Juan David Ramirez. We scored ALL the endemics of the mountain -but the Margarornis Treerunner- and were VERY lucky finding ALL Panama’s big raptors: Black-and-white Hawk-Eagle, Ornate Hawk-Eagle, Black Hawk-Eagle, Crested Eagle, & Harpy Eagle (King Vultures too)! One of the greatest trips I have ever done... into the magical land of giants in the lowlands and stunted cloud forest in the highlands.
