Libya: GNA govt. forces battle to clear final pockets of IS militants in Sirte

Libya’s UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) continued to battle militants from the the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIL/ISIS) in the city’s last pockets held by the militant group. At least 14 pro-government fighters were killed in clashes on Friday, with 18 others injured. GNA forces have cornered and are battling the last remaining IS fighters in Sirte.
