Grigory Kogan plays Ravel-Siloti Kaddish

Grigory Kogan playing Alexander Siloti’s transcription of Ravel’s Kaddish, from 2 Mélodies hébraiques (1914), ripped from a 1977 LP. Kogan (1901-1979) studied at the Kiev Conservatory with Vladimir Puchalsky (who also taught Horowitz) and with Reinhold Gliere. After graduating he taught there, then at the Moscow Conservatory and in Kazan, where his students included Sofia Gubaidulina. His books are still read widely, including the recently published Busoni as Pianist, translated by Svetlana Belsky. Thanks t
