Night at Moraine Lake

A short 2-minute music video featuring time-lapses and still images shot at Moraine Lake, in Banff National Park, Alberta, on August 31, 2016. The video begins with images shot looking south, showing the Milky Way moving over the lake. Then with the aurora brightening, the view switches to see the Northern Lights from the same vantage point, but now looking north down Desolation Valley. Technical Details: Exposures were 15 seconds for the Milky Way frames, but only 2 seconds for the aurora frames. All shot with the Sigma 20mm art lens, at f/2, and the Nikon D750 at ISO 6400 (Milky Way) and ISO 3200 (aurora). The star trail effect sequence was created with the Advanced Stacker Plus Photoshop actions, to export a folder of stacked “intermediate“ frames. Music is by Adi Goldstein ()
