Calliope Mori - Soul Food (Metal Remix)

Another short but sweet one! This song is supposed to be a goofy/lighthearted tune in an album otherwise full of downers, and it certainly shows in that danceable beat. However, this approach kinda feels like a missed opportunity; Gluttony has the potential to be the most interesting of the deadly sins if it’s explored in a certain way, and it can be the basis for some pretty dark stuff (namely addiction). But that’s just the pessimistic side of my brain speaking. I can see what Calli means when she says she wants this song playing at every anime rave. Similarly, I wanted to make a remix of this track suitable for the mosh pit. The band I chose to emulate for this one is Fear Factory, which were introduced to me by my dad. They combine heavy down-tuned riffs with mechanical drum beats and synthesizers, all combining into one brutal but groovy package.
