Boris Berezovsky plays Beethoven Choral Fantasy, Op. 80 (2008)

Dezember 2008, Uhr im Theater an der Wien Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien Bertrand de Billy, Musikalische Leitung Arnold Schoenberg Chor Boris Berezovsky, Klavier Anja Nina Bahrmann, Sopran | Magdalena Anna Hofmann, Alt Gergely Nemeti, Tenor | Klemens Sander, Bass In Vienna, on 22 December 2008 was staged a recreation of Beethoven’s historical concert of 22 December 1808 (called “Akademie“), which was held at the same location (Theater an der Wien) and started at exactly the same time (18:30 pm on 22 Dec.), on the occasion of it’s 200th anniversary. The “Akademie“ of Beethoven in 1808 was a monumental concert for more than 4 hours, where Beethoven’s important works such as the 5th and 6th symphonies, the 4th piano concerto and the Choral Fantasy were premiered.
