RGB: Red

Here is part one of a three-part mini series experimenting with the colours that are used on an LCD display (red, green and blue). Why didn’t I just do primary colours or just do one video? ... beats me. Red is a powerful colour. Personally, I feel that this is the colour that evokes the strongest emotional reaction. With wavelengths inching towards the direction of radiation and microwaves, the colour red has been associated with danger in cultures all over the world. Human instinct tells us to stay away from red as it might be hot, poisonous or violent. I personally try to stay away from red because I don’t want to get killed on the Starship Enterprise. But as we are human, we all use that intense colour in storytelling to also convey love, desire and passion. As love, to a dramatic, is a battlefield. Films and Shows: Press the CC button.
