Building a Japanese inspired contemplation bench - woodworking

In this video I built this bench using traditional wedge joinery. The center stretcher is attached the legs with a through tenon and wedged in place with a through tenon. The top is held in place with wedges. The bench is made of walnut and the wedges in the top are mahogany. This type of woodworking is what keeps me building custom furniture. Finished used was a wipe on satin poly (affiliate link) This Bench is from my Japanese inspiration collection
