Duel Between Queens: Paper Wasp vs. Yellow Hornet

A hornet’s nest was built right next to a paper wasp’s nest. Since both nests are in the early stages, there are only queens. The paper wasp queen was staring anxiously at the hornet queen. Then, the eyes of the paper wasp and hornet queens met, and at that moment, the paper wasp queen attacked. The fight ended quickly. After a while, the hornet queen returned to her nest as if nothing had happened. This hornet is a species called the Yellow hornet (Vespa simillima xanthoptera), which is the smallest of the hornets, but it could defeat the paper wasp queen easily.
