Romany Polka at a Moscow Ball

Danced at the 2016 Trianon Historical Dance Festival, Moscow. Choreographed by Richard Powers, following original 19th century steps and prototypes of polka choreographies. Cellarius, D’Albert, Durang and others choreographed long polka sequences like this one. Music is “Romany Life“ by Victor Herbert, from a 19th century opera.
