Paper available here: The “Human spaceflight from Guiana Space Center” study presented at GLEX 2021 on 15 June 2021 by CNES puts forward potential ideas as a basis for future discussions on this topic. The work for the study was carried out during 2020 by an informal Working Group, with ESA staff contributing based on their expertise. The study does not form part of a formal programme or official position of ESA on the topic. From a more general perspective, ESA’s Agenda 2025 sets out a vision for space based on European collaboration and a clear ambition to position Europe as one of the leaders in a dynamic world to ensure safety, security, social and economic well-being for its citizens.
