I. Presto
II. Allegro moderato “Air Suisse“ (2:34)
III. Rondo: Allegro di molto (4:00)
The first movement is generally based on broken chord triplet accompaniment figurations requires forearm rotation technique. Appropriate balance between melody and accompaniment is a potential problem in this busy movement. The biggest challenge in the middle movement is to feel the piece in one beat per measure and not three. Quick turn ornamentation in the right hand requires careful control and not overpowering. The last movement is lesser difficult that the first. Left hand must control the repeated notes carefully so that they don’t sound heavy and choppy.
