Cham Dance at Paro Tsechu Festival - Bhutan

Tsechu are annual religious Bhutanese festivals held in each districts of Bhutan. Paro Tsechu is one of the biggest such festivals where the local Bhutanese and tourists from different countries witness the four days program of traditional Bhutanese Cham Dance – a lively masked and costumed dance associated with some sects of Tibetan Buddhism. The performers and religious heads walk from nearby Paro Dzong to venue before the program. This year the festival was held at Paro between 19th to 23rd March.
