Class II Treatment with U1 Ankylosis|【Chris Chang Ortho】CC755

[case report] This report describes the treatment of CII malocclusion with ankylosed U1 treated with anterior segmental osteotomy. It started out as a typical treatment using self-ligation system, IZC and power chains to retract the anteriors. However, little progress was observed after 26 months in treatment. After further examination, it’s suspected U1 was ankylosed. Anterior segmental osteotomy was performed. After 68 months of treatment, ideal occlusion was achieved.
