Written in 1914 by Stepan Charnetsky, this new arrangement by Mykola Deychakiwsky - Oy U Luzi Chervona Kalyna is deemed as Ukraine’s 2nd National Anthem - everyone knows and sings it throughout the world. This year marks 100 years from the beginning of Ukraine’s modern day fight for freedom as the young Sitchovy Striltsty (Ukraine’s soldiers) sang this very song in 1917.
