Check out the latest from Basidium here: Basidium is a duo I do with fellow musician Eric Miller. We will be performing at Eliza’s Lounge in Mieral Point, WI on Sat. March 30 at 8pm. Koma Elektronik field kit with Trem-o-Reel tape transport mechanism, DIY cassette tape delay, Kalimba, and Korg Monotron Duo. A contact microphone is inserted into input no. 1 of the Koma field kit. This contact microphone has been affixed to the Trem-o-Reel tape transport mechanism and is amplifying the mechanical noises of said Trem-o-Reel. Input no. 2 of the field kit has a telephone pickup coil plugged into it which is being filtered by the Korg Monotron Duo. The telephone pickup coil is sensing the electric motor in the Trem-o-Reel. Input no.3 of the field kit is being fed by the kit’s own aux output . Input no.1 of the field kit is being sent to the aux output. Input no. 4 of the field kit has the output of the DIY cassette tape delay plugged into it. There is a small carbon button microphone plugged into the mic input of the DIY cassette tape delay.
