ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः - तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं - भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि । धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् Om Bhur-Bhuvah Svah - Tat Savitur Varennyam - Bhargo Devasya Dhiimahi - Dhiyo Yo-nah Pracho-dayaat || Traditionally, the Gayatri mantra is recited or chanted 108 times on three occasions daily at sunrise, at midday and at dusk, when the sun is setting. The Vedas say: To chant the Gayatri Mantra purifies the chanter. To listen to the Gayatri Mantra purifies the listener.
