How good is the new Porsche 911 GT3? Full track review of ’992’ series road racer | Autocar

This is the new 2021 Porsche 911 GT3. And it is different: bigger, faster ... better? We’ll see. The big news with this latest GT3, based on the ’992’ series 911, is that it has double wishbone front suspension, rather than a MacPherson strut, for the first time in the 911’s history. It also has a fancy array of aerodynamics including a swan-neck mount for the rear wing. Elsewhere things are more familiar. As with its 991 predecessor, it has a flat six engine, though now making 503bhp (510hp), and driving through either a manual or a PDK twin-clutch automatic gearbox, (the auto is tested here).
