With Comprehensible Input, we learn the reality of the language by experiencing it. When we listen to interesting and comprehensible stories, our attention is focused on the message rather than on theory and grammar. With drawings, gestures and repetition, the stories will be understandable to you. As you listen to Spanish that you understand, you gradually become accustomed to the language and create a mental map of it. With Comprehensible Input, you will develop a “feel“ for the language in terms of grammar and vocabulary, characteristic of native speakers. What does this mean in practice? You will know how to say something, but you won’t necessarily know the grammatical rule behind it. IMPORTANT! You don’t need to understand every single word.
