The orange warning now covers Kerry, Waterford, Wicklow and Wexford. Cork is experiencing severe flooding and several roads are closed. Southern coastal counties are also under an orange and yellow rain warning. Cork County Council advises people to take caution and stay indoors due to flooding. In a statement, the Defense Force said personnel were deployed to Midleton at the request of the local authority.
