Home to Iceland’s first parliament, Thingvellir National Park is a key part of the country’s history. Thingvellir National Park is located in the southwestern countryside of Iceland and is full of historical significance and stunning volcanic landscapes. Thingvellir is also home to the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, with clear water running though some of the rifts caused by the tectonic and volcanic activity.
