SONG #2: “Strings That Cry Cuerdas Que Lloran“ - Cuerdas del Corazón: Homenaje a Arturo Bermudez

On May 29th, 2021, my beloved mentor, teacher, friend, big brother, and hero, Arthurito Bermudez Ayala passed away and went on to be with the Lord. I could not sleep that evening without venting and pouring my heart and soul into what ended up becoming an 8-part song tribute dedicated to his enormous impact, imprint, and legacy on so many lives including my own. He was my hero and my beloved friend. He was who I strived to be and will continue to emulate and learn from. I loved him so much. We all did. I hope his family in Puerto Rico can have a chance to hear what I made for them in Arturo’s honor. I know that he would not be who he was without his family and I was so blessed to be considered an honorary extension of his family.
