Edvard Hagerup Grieg (1843- 1907), Air, (Andante religioso) Fra Holbergs Tid (From Holberg’s Time), Holberg Suite, Op. 40 no. 4, more properly “From Holberg’s Time“, subtitled “Suite in olden style“ (Norwegian: Suite i gammel stil, German: Suite im alten Style), Scottish Ensemble, Jonathan Rees. Fra Holbergs Tid, is a suite of five movements based on eighteenth century dance forms, written in 1884 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Danish-Norwegian humanist playwright Ludvig Holberg.
