40 Jahre DDR East Germany Military Parade 1989

Militärparade zum Gedenken an den vierten Jahrestag der DDR. Als besonderer Gast ist Generalsekretär der KPdSU Michail Gorbatschow. This is the parade in East Berlin commemorating the 40th anniversary of the GDR. These celebrations took place during 6-7 October 1989. For the military parade special guest in attendance was Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev (who attended with reluctance, but did so in a spirit of comradery for other socialist states). This parade is highly notable because it took place during
