Join us on a Virtual Tour of Darts Hill Garden

Tune in for a virtual tour of Darts Hill Garden Park in full bloom, one of Surrey’s stunning show gardens. This video will explore the history, and horticulture of this unique plantsman’s garden. Created by Francisca Darts with the dedicated support of her husband Edwin, Darts Hill Garden Park is a showcase of 70 years of devotion, hard work and a pure love of horticulture. Out of a logged parcel of land, Francisca and Edwin Darts cleared and transformed their property initially into an award winning orchard. As Francisca became more involved with local gardening clubs, so did her enthusiasm for rare and unusual plants from around the world. Gradually, they transformed their garden again, creating a collection garden – a plantsman’s garden. Wishing to see their garden continue to grow, inspire and teach new generations of gardeners, the Darts gifted their 7.5 acre garden to The City of Surrey in 1994. Due to the sensitive nature of the botanical and unusual plant life at Darts Hill, it was Mr. and Mrs. Darts’ wish that events (including corporate events), event photography and weddings not take place in the garden. We highly recommend visiting Bear Creek Park, which is complete with a wedding chapel and beautifully manicured gardens on a first-come, first-served basis.
