Sleeping Dogs direct graphics Comparison between the Definitive Edition (2014) and the Original (2012) on PC. Both recorded in 4K resolution. The original PC version was far better advanced than the console version at that time, so it served as the starting point for the Definitive Edition. The graphical improvements include new fog, mist and smog effects, redone lighting that lends the game a higher-contrast look, secondary animations for objects on bodies, hand-modeled upgrades to characters, extra neon signs throughout Hong Kong and animated lighting for those signs. The definitive Edition must have shine better on console (The Definitive Edition runs in 1080p at 30 frames per second on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) because, in my opinion, the Original PC version looks and play better!
