🎥 Kling AI or Runway Gen-3, the winner is… 🏅
At the moment I’m busy testing the AI video generators KLING - AI Videos, Runway Gen-3 and the Dream Machine from Luma AI. I’m not quite finished yet and I have to regenerate the Luma AI videos with the recently introduced Dream Machine 1.5, but I’d like to share a first conclusion about the comparison between Kling and Runway with you:
* In terms of animation quality, I think Kling AI is quite clearly ahead
🥇Kling
* In terms of image quality, both are about the same, but Kling’s depths often drown out
🥇Runway
* Prompts for camera movement are better implemented by Gen-3
🥇Runway
* Non-real fantasy motifs are better realized by Kling (examples follow)
🥇Kling
* Non-photorealistic templates are implemented much better by Kling (examples follow)
🥇Kling
* Kling AI offers the option First AND Last Frame (but this is below the level of Luma AI)
🥇Kling
* Gen-3 offers the option First OR Last Frame - I couldn’t see any difference in quality here
🥇Runway
* If I haven’t miscalculated, a second of video with Runway is about twice as expensive as with Kling -🥇Kling
And the winner is: 🥇Kling
From my point of view, Kling AI is currently ahead, with the drawback that the depths have sunk; post-production is definitely necessary here.
I tested image-to-video with templates generated in Midjourney.
I used the professional mode in Kling AI.
