Bernie Sanders: ‘Stop the indiscriminate slaughter of innocent people’

“Israel’s indiscriminate bombing is hitting hospitals, refugee camps, and killing thousands of innocent people. It must stop now.” In a forceful statement on Saturday, US Senator Bernie Sanders condemned the actions of Israel in the Gaza Strip, referring to them as “indiscriminate” and characterised the war in Gaza as “one of the more horrific moments in modern history.” He was explicit in his denunciation of bombings targeting civilians and vital infrastructure and stated that such actions defy international law and must stop. Sanders made a plea for the protection of all innocent lives, emphasising the equal value of Palestinian, Israeli, and American children.
