Autodesk Fusion 360 | How to Use 4-Axis Wrap in Fusion 360

In this Autodesk Fusion 360 video, Dylan Smith will demonstrate the 4-axis wrap feature in the Fusion 360 Manufacturing workspace. Dylan will cover how to use 4-axis wrap and how it can help you yield more from your 4th axis. Before creating toolpaths, Dylan needs to ensure the setup is correct; more specifically, that the work coordinate system (WCS) is oriented correctly. The X-axis needs to be aligned with a rotary axis. The Fusion 360 4-axis wrap feature can be used with 2D Adaptive, 2D Pocket & 2D Contour. The 4-axis wrap feature allows the toolpath to be wrapped around perfectly cylindrical objects for geometry that is better machined using 4-axis instead of 3-axis. In the video, Dylan works with a component that has features which wrap around the component. A 3-axis style of machining is suboptimal for this type of component. Select the geometry for machining and select the Wrap option in the Geometry tab. The next selection is for the geometry that will be wrapped around, in the Wrap Cylinder sele
