Sword & Shield Sparring - Esther vs Nick

Medium size round shields of the Anglo-Saxon/Viking type. We typically use two sizes of shield like this, 70cm (as seen), and an 86cm type. We’ll be posting a variety of videos of both, paired and against one another. No documented martial arts treatise have survived for this type and era of shield, but we are currently training shield combat using a mix of shields, including Saxon/Viking, Heater shields and Rotella. Utilising what is written about shields in mostly renaissance era manuals, combined with experimentation and other research. The training swords are by Black Fencer. Esther has a custom Schiavonesca, whilst Nick is using a V3 arming sword.
